Adding CakePhp to your Mac OS System

Okay, I’ve been a mac user for years now not until last April where I sell my macbook white and went back to windows – and that’s a total fuck off! My life is full of suffering, pain and depress.  – That’s too much. But just today I just bought my Macbook Pro 15 inch i7 16GB and 256 GB RAM Hooray! #WelcomeToEmptyPocketLifeAfterwards

Enough with the show-off thing. Then I decided to install cakephp on my system. The problem is that I don’t know how – so as a non-smarty person like me – I googled how, Then I found out here. Then i tried the “vm .profile_bash” command but I can’t so I decided to use the nano instead, and it works so the command is “nano .bash_profile” and then edit the bash profile and add the following: export PATH=”$PATH:/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/cakephp/lib/Cake/Console”

For the path just add in the correct path of your cakephp console

Then Exit (Control X), Save and your are done.

You can check if you did it correctly by typing “cake” – if it says “command cake not found” then sorry 😦

Then it’s showtime!

– create a project then go to the directory of your project then type in:”cake bake”

so now I can start baking 🙂
